Deep in the wood a bonfire rages conjuring the revelry only the primal cheer of an outdoor gathering can produce. How to get that inside? We have the answer. Equal parts of warm spices, fragrant burning wood and revelry are ready to conjure ghost stories and laughter.
Warm spices of cardamon, lemon peel, clove and black pepper combined with whisps of smoke equal instant celebration.

Inspired by the country estates that dot the Eastern Shore of Maryland, the sophisticated fragrances of Lodestone Reserve candles evoke memories of estate adventures, real or imagined, near or far.


Our labels are produced on a 1921 Chander & Price letterpress in Chestertown, Maryland. The paper is American-made Crane & Co. paper and printed with inks made of actual flecks of gold. The labels provide the elegance and strength of character on par with the other worldly scents of Lodestone Candles.

Each container is 100% recyclable or can hold your pens or plants, spare change or pushpins, makeup brushes or seashell collections. The possibilities are limitless.

100% soy wax (with eco-friendly dye added for drama), phthalate-free premium fragrance and essential oils; hand poured in Kent County on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

 

- Trim candlewicks to ¼ inch each time before burning.

- For the initial lighting allow the candle to create a full and even burn pool across the entire candle.

- For subsequent lightings our recommended burn time is 3 to 4 hours max.

- Do not leave a burning candle unattended.

- Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.

- Keep candles out of the reach of small children and pets.

- Burn candle on a heat-resistant surface.

- Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.

- Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents and ceiling fans to minimize smoking or a wick blowing out causing the candle to burn unevenly.

- Always burn candles in a room with ventilation.

- Never touch a burning candle or move a candle when the wax is liquid.

- Never extinguish candles with water.

- Make sure a candle is completely extinguished and the wick ember is no longer glowing before leaving the room.

- Manufacturer is not responsible for product misuse.

All orders are shipped via UPS Ground on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please allow for 1-5 business days, excluding holidays for your order to be processed.

Pleasant, Light Scent

This candle's packaging is a bit more elevated than Lodestone's other scents. However, the black wax does not burn as cleanly as competitors' and tunnels a bit even after three hours burn time. If you want a mild, discrete scent this is the candle for you. If you want a strong throw and intense scent that lingers for hours after the candle is blown out, this is not the candle for you.

Spicy and spectacular

Bonfire is a fantastic scent: smoky, sweet, and spicy. I would say it's reminiscent of smelling a sweeter clove cigarette without feeling the actual smoke sensation, plus some added spice from the cinnamon, cardamom and maple. This is our favorite, and I actually asked Lodestone to consider making a cologne for this scent. It's more of an Autumn/Winter scent, but honestly, I could burn this candle every day. Highly recommended!
